Long-Distance Fiber Connectivity

The DIS-100G-10 includes two 1GbE SFP ports that support fiber uplinks for longer-distance connections to aggregation switches or central network infrastructure. Fiber cabling can extend connectivity beyond the distance limits of copper Ethernet, making it well suited for connecting remote cabinets, separate buildings, or other distributed network locations.

Fiber connections also provide added resistance to electromagnetic interference, helping support more consistent data transmission in industrial and infrastructure environments.

Power Redundancy for Critical Operations

The DIS-100G-10 supports dual 9–36 VDC terminal block inputs, allowing connection to two independent, customer-supplied DC power sources, such as separate power supplies or primary and backup circuits. If one power source is interrupted, the second can continue powering the switch, helping reduce the risk of network downtime in industrial environments.
